Child Safety Standards

TapSnap is intended for adults (18+). We do not permit use by children or the sharing of content that exploits, endangers, or depicts minors. We are committed to preventing, detecting, and removing such content and to cooperating with law enforcement where appropriate.

• Purpose and audience

• TapSnap is for users aged 18 and older.

• If we learn of underage use, we will disable the account and remove related content.

• Prohibited content and behaviors

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.

• Sexual exploitation, grooming, sexual extortion, or endangerment of minors.

• Nudity of minors or sexualized content involving minors.

• Solicitation of minors, trafficking, or facilitation of exploitation.

• Harassment, threats, doxxing, or any behavior that targets minors.

• Non‑consensual intimate imagery or attempts to obtain it.

• Any content that attempts to normalize or minimize harm to minors.

• Reporting concerns

• If you encounter content or behavior that may involve a minor or puts a minor at risk, report it immediately to: safety@tapsnap.co.

• Include links, screenshots, usernames, and timestamps if possible. Use the subject “URGENT: Child Safety Report.”

• We prioritize these reports and typically review within 24–48 hours; imminent threats are escalated as quickly as possible.

• Moderation and enforcement

• We review reported content and accounts and may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or permanently ban accounts.

• We may preserve relevant data and share information with law enforcement when legally required or when we believe someone is at risk.

• Cooperation with authorities

• We promptly report suspected CSAM to the appropriate authorities (such as NCMEC in the United States) and cooperate with lawful requests.

• Protecting minors

• We do not allow content that sexualizes or exploits minors, even if posted by the minor.

• If we learn a user is under 18, we remove or restrict the account.

• Data handling and retention

• We retain complaint and enforcement records as required by law and only share information with authorities when legally required or to prevent harm.
